Everything Absent or Distorted on TOUR!

eaod1_1

You people out East do not know what goodness awaits you next week, as my favorite Denver band Everything Absent Or Distorted takes to the road for an extremely rare tour.

As I wrote in my review for the Denver Post last time I saw ‘em, “I love to stand beneath their waves of massive, visceral sound that galvanizes the band and the audience as one. As I leaned against the stage as the final notes died away, catching my breath, I commented to a friend that EAOD performs the way that the best music feels: straight from their poetic, hot-blooded hearts. There’s no posturing, only gorgeous songs that flit from delicate and pensive to soaringly victorious, fist-pumping anthems.”

If you live in one of these cities, you simply must go. Simply must.
I will give you a nickel if it ain’t the most honest, gorgeous, brilliant performance of live music that you’ve seen in recent years.

  • I first learned of EAOD here. I then bought their latest CD on CD baby. It’s some of the best new music I’ve heard in a long while. I’m disappointed they’re not coming to Texas though.

  • Thanks for the shout out, Heather. As an update, we confirmed our show on the 14th in NYC. We’ll be playing at a place called the Delancey. Here’s a link to their website: http://www.thedelancey.com/

JTF, make sure to say hello at the show!

  • Todd – come out to Denver for a show this summer? Or maybe I can convince ‘em to go West, young men.

  • Had the amazing opportunity of seeing EAOD last night here in Chicago. Simply sublime. Bryce and the guys put on perhaps the most energy-filled 35-min set (the venue was strict) I’ve ever seen–they ended with a cover of The National’s “Abel,” which was a treat. Took along a friend and he was converted. Words can’t express how good it was… Then had a chance to visit with them all after the show and buy ‘em some beer.
A wonderful celebration of music and amazing group of guys.

"I love the relationship that anyone has with music: because there's something in us that is beyond the reach of words, something that eludes and defies our best attempts to spit it out. It's the best part of us, probably, the richest and strangest part..."
—Nick Hornby, Songbook
"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel."
—Hunter S. Thompson

Mp3s are for sampling purposes, kinda like when they give you the cheese cube at Costco, knowing that you'll often go home with having bought the whole 7 lb. spiced Brie log. They are left up for a limited time. If you LIKE the music, go and support these artists, buy their schwag, go to their concerts, purchase their CDs/records and tell all your friends. Rock on.
