I've listened to his music for years but had never "seen" him until recently, when I watched his NPR Tiny Desk concert. except when he was playing/singing, he seemed very uncomfortable and even awkward. then I realized that "hey, in his head he's thinking deep thoughts and writing heartbreaking, devastating and brilliant lyrics - he doesn't have time to make small talk with you, Bob Boilen" Damian Jurado is so, so good.
