  • I don’t think it’s possible for me to ever tire of the Wilco. And I hope to repeat that when I’m pushing 65.

  • I was listening to my iPod shuffle and reading your blog, both daily occurances, and “Country Disappeared”s intro started the minute I began reading your post. Eerie!

If you enjoy acoustic and intimate versions of Wilco songs, it couldn’t hurt to have a look at “Sunken Treasure – Live in the pacific Northwest”; a Jeff Tweedy solo dvd that’s been in regular circulation with me for months and months.

  • WOW! Thank You.

  • Very nice.

I even liked very much what Wilco have done after Wall Street crack. Do you remember the song Jolly Banker?

They were selling it for 5 bucks to give the revenues to homeless and jobless people, or you could download it free if you did not have money (that was one of the options to select) and the last option was to pay for it 50 bucks if you were a banker.

    Good Easter

  • Thanks for the dose of Wilco for my Easter basket.
As much as I try to escape it, hide it or deny it, I’ll always be an Illinois girl and the Tweed is in my blood forever.

"I love the relationship that anyone has with music: because there's something in us that is beyond the reach of words, something that eludes and defies our best attempts to spit it out. It's the best part of us, probably, the richest and strangest part..."
—Nick Hornby, Songbook
"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel."
—Hunter S. Thompson

Mp3s are for sampling purposes, kinda like when they give you the cheese cube at Costco, knowing that you'll often go home with having bought the whole 7 lb. spiced Brie log. They are left up for a limited time. If you LIKE the music, go and support these artists, buy their schwag, go to their concerts, purchase their CDs/records and tell all your friends. Rock on.
