I got to thinking about it and the concert I was talking about was actually 35 (!) years ago November of 75 right after Born To Run came out. Good God.

I saw Bruce 25 years ago at Memorial Hall In KC KS. Paid 5 bucks and walked in the door; to a large degree it changed my life. I took my best friend Marc back a year later to see him again. Bruce’s music, his.. humanity was one of our connections through out the years. Marc passed away a while ago. I remember both of us looking forward to The River album coming out and Marc going to the record store passing a guy on the way out telling him that yeah it was there. It’s funny how little things like that stay in your memory all these years later. I feel the same way about Glen Hansard. Like Bruce, he seems like someone you could talk to and he would understand. It’s definitely the “best part of us” and I feel, like Bruce, Glen gets that. Thanks so much for posting that video and for your wonderful blog, I look for it every day.
