Heather, I had the pleasure of hearing your interview on World Cafe, glad to see your whole list now. I was especially happy that you highlighted Roman Candle. That was one of my very favorite albums in 2009, it grew on me slowly, and I'm still discovering new pleasures in it. Have a happy and healthy 2010, full of more great music.

Nice list Heather, some great stuff in there. A few random notes...

- I thought Pearl Jam's "Backspacer" might make the cut. What did you think of that album? My favorite since "Yield".

- A friend of mine manages Roman Candle, nice to see them mentioned on your list. I forwarded this entry on to him.

- Some albums from this this year that I think you'd like: "These Four Walls" by We Were Promised Jetpacks, "North Hills" by Dawes & "Summer of Fear" by Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson.

you're got great taste in music, heather!
a friend passed me the link to your blog last summer, so i'm late on your bandwagon. but i'm not getting off.
it's great to find another who likes so many of the same bands. and it's even better when that someone passes a few extra groups your way. so, a big thanks for getting me absolutely hooked on the tallest man on earth and mumford & sons. plus, your xmas collections saved me from those painful "classics" that surface every year.
two great albums that i bet fit your style: fruit bat's "the ruminant band" and the rural alberta advantage's "hometowns." what did you think of them?
thanks again. keep it coming.

Thank you Heather for always shining a light on the music that others tend to neglect. You always bring a sense of joy to music with your words and images. You are my daily coffee (or Coca-Cola in my world) and the day just ain't right without Fuel.

Also, I think I've heard every song from Local Natives' "Gorilla Manor" and it's definitely, definitely in my top 3 albums of the year. But do you think it's cheating to put it on my '09 list if I don't own it yet and won't grasp a copy in my hands until February 2010? Dilemmas.
