Agree with everyone who says the album doesn’t even begin to cover how amazing this band sounds live! See them live!

They’re going to tour next year with A Place to Bury Strangers. Another band you must experience live to appreciate fully.

The album does them no justice. The live show kind of blew up, like right in our faces. Smoke, lights, loud obnoxious volume, and great energy.

I wish that was how they sounded on their records. I saw them in LA and it was really good. But when I listened to the album it didn’t hold that same feeling and sounded very flat to me.

In the past few years I have managed to see to some pretty amazing shows. The Cure, My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, et cetera, but I wasn’t witnessing it happen. It already happened, and they were just re-hashing the past for me, as great as it was to finally see them. This was IT! This felt like my Hacienda or Exploding Plastic Inevitable experience. I felt it when I first heard “Velvet” then I immediately had to devour the rest of the album. At the time, it was available to listen to on the website. There was this rush of blood pulsing in my body the entire album through and through. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Everything I ever loved rolled into this exquisite auralgasm! My knees shook. I believe I fell victim to audio synesthesia, and it was wonderful. I can’t wait to see them again, and again…..

YES, YES, TOTALLY! I loved the show so much, one of my top shows, and I loved it even more than the album too! So great. I heard people complaining about the strobe lights and smoke but I thought it was pretty awesome.
