I love Ritter - especially the new song you posted. I've listened to it over and over.

Although, if we're going for his lyrics about stars - Other Side is more in keeping with your poem. I just love how it captures the Universe watching us as we watch the Universe:

Say the west is a story we made up to erase
Conestoga wagons left tracks you can see from space
From the Northwest passage to the Great Divide
Everybody's looking for the other side

I'm still waiting for the whiskey to whisk me away
And I'm still waiting for the ashtray to lead me astray
I twist the culdesacs into one way signs
I ain't going round in circles on the other side

So at night I sit and watch for stars to stay
They wink and then they're gone down the Milky Way
But when You're left in the middle of the Midwest sky
Everywhere you look is the Other Side . . .

Magnificent.

wonderful and you are welcome. i am also reminded of the great josh ritter lyric:

All of a sudden now you're back again, I thought you were happy with whoever, or did you dream about me now and then? Did you look up at the stars and feel something for the constellations?
All those lovers circling 'round their loves, slings and arrows, dogs and lions, rivers separating touch from touch
The comedy of distance, the tragedy of separation.

As long as we're on the subject of stars - here's my favorite poem . . . ever.

I really love what you do here, Heather. Accept this is an all too small token of my gratitude.
