Hey Heather, what’s the word on this band Houses? I really dug the song you have on this mix but when I went looking for more on them, the mystery began. Their website seems abandoned. News points you to a record company website that doesn’t exist. MP3s don’t play. Their myspace page doesn’t have any info on it or songs to stream. A google search of their album brings up nothing. Where can i find more music? Indie bands shouldn’t be this inaccessible!

Just wanted to let you know how much my sister and I love your blog. You always have such a great mix of music and provide a showcase for some of our faves (umm… The Avett Brothers?!)

We’ve been listening to this mix non-stop the past couple days; it’s a real winner (I especially love July 4, 2004!!)

btw. I saw counting crows last night in St. Louis. Awesome show, high energy, fun set list. It was just them in STL, but they are doing an interesting tour this summer with Augustana and Michael Franti and Spearhead. Kind of a Bob Dylan sorta traveling circus show. Each band plays some songs seperately, others all together. Should be interesting.
