Some great TVZ covers there, but "Tom Dooley" is a traditional US folk song (about 150 years old), with which the Kingston Trio had a US No. 1 hit back in 1958.

I remember seeing Steve play this in a live set at Aberdeen's Lemon Tree a few years back and he pointed out that his version was closer to the original, which is a slow ballad, compared to the uptempo version that the Kingston trio did.

Anyhow - thanks for some great covers, especially the one of Waylon Jennings, who visited Steve when he was in jail.
