Nebeker told me this story about how he wrote this song in a dream, or rather it was the sound track to a dream in the dream, and he woke up and wrote it down.

Nice find Heather, I really like this. Totally melancholy and dreamy… either waking up on a gray morning or having the last beer while you slowly pass out while talking to friends after a long night.

You’ll be hearing a lot more of these guys down the road, but I’m surprised this album didn’t get more love. Anyway, whatever it is, singer Israel Nebeker has it. The ladies in Portland swoon when he smiles and hearts break when he sings. It helps that he writes damn good songs too.
