Thanks so much for this. Travis has always been consistently good, and I'm sorry they've never had the same sort of U.S. breakthrough as Coldplay. But they remain viable commercially and artistically ("Under the Moonlight" off "The Boy with No Name" is one of my favorite songs of 2007), thank goodness. They sound like good guys, too.

By the way, Fran Healy and Andy Dunlop are interviewed in "Pixies," a documentary about the great Boston band. In fact, it sounds like they and future members of Blur, Radiohead and other bands were all at some breakthrough Pixies shows in London in 1988. It's a great movie, well worth watching.

Fantastic interview - Cameron Crowe would tip his hat, I'm sure, and the closing paragraph really captures what makes Travis such a great band. Thanks for sharing.

I always loved The Man Who.. that was one album that really made a difference! but with The Invisible Band I kinda lost interest.. it's not that the album wasn't good.. but there was something that wasn't doing it for me!

now with all this reborn fuss around them I'm really anxious to get my hands on the new album and dig further to see what I've been missing.

really cool interview! I really laughed with the Flowers In The Wind bit! a son I always found lovely!
