You asked: Ray LaMontagne, live & unreleased

The single most requested re-up that I get these days is for some of the older live and unreleased Ray LaMontagne songs. I am happy to finally re-post some fantastic live unreleased stuff from him, in honor of me seeing Ray in Denver next Monday. These are mostly all courtesy of a fantastic girl named Jaimie who is relentless in collecting these, and I am appreciative for the goodness they have bestowed upon my ears.

  • THANKS HEATHER!

I just stumbled across your blog tonight after watching the Austin City show and looking for one of the tracks. I honestly can’t tell you when I have ever come across music that i haven’t heard before and immediately adopted it so quickly and passionately. I love everything about his music and lyrics and I can’t go a day without listening to it. I wasn’t aware of all the live versions kicking around and songs I haven’t heard. I can’t wait for this to download so I can have a listen.

    Thanks again for the repost.

p.s. I will be checking your blog on a regular basis now that I have found it.

    Cheers,

    Adam

  • Hey you, I can’t believe you uploaded all of this! Ray is my absolute favorite, and i am constantly on the hunt for new music and rare music of his. Him and the Avett Brothers are the most raw truthful music i have heard in a long time. This website is a rare gem! Thanks so much, and if you like Ray look up the Avett brothers!

"I love the relationship that anyone has with music: because there's something in us that is beyond the reach of words, something that eludes and defies our best attempts to spit it out. It's the best part of us, probably, the richest and strangest part..."

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel."

Mp3s are for sampling purposes, kinda like when they give you the cheese cube at Costco, knowing that you'll often go home with having bought the whole 7 lb. spiced Brie log. They are left up for a limited time. If you LIKE the music, go and support these artists, buy their schwag, go to their concerts, purchase their CDs/records and tell all your friends. Rock on.
