Is any song better with a little bit of Chris Martin?

It finally broke. I’ve been looking for this one, a song Martin “conjured out of nowhere” in the studio for Furtado’s latest album:

All Good Things- Nelly Furtado feat. Chris Martin

History of this blocked release is here. Get it while it’s hot.

  • It’s a decent track. If the it’s true that EMI didn’t want it released for contractual reasons, it’s another example of why the “big four” record labels don’t deserve the huge market share they hold — Mark in Toronto

  • it seems as if EMI didn’t work fast enough to get the track pulled off of the early japanese releases! i have the official mp3 if you would care to have a listen… just give me a shout at deejaygrowlz@hotmail.com

  • Keep geeting an error when trying to open the link, saying connection reset.

  • I am quite happy that they blocked the release.

Every release involving Chris Martin should be blocked, actually.

  • I didn’t remove the file, so it may just be EZArchive that is acting up (big surprise there, right?) – So keep trying! Sorry!

  • sigh, it’s not working for me. rest assured, i’ll be refreshing the link every 5 minutes til it does! i can get it to play for me, but it won’t let me download it. Argh!

  • None of the downloads on this site work. Ezarchive keeps saying that the connection has been reset. It’s sad cos your site has some of the best songs to download. It’s an awesome site!

  • This is a great song, makes me move and rock my head back and forth. I love Chris Martin, and I have to say, I like this Nelly Furtado MUCH better than the “I’m Like a Bird” Nelly. Nice.

  • I’ll try again later, seems to not be working for me. It could be my PC though.

  • Sweet. Thanks a lot!

  • I’m not convinced it’s real.. I mean it feels as though someone has a sample of Chris Martin singing part of the song, and they’ve sampled it all the way through..and very badly at that. I think I prefer it without him, there’s more of a focus on the lyrics in the verses without Chris chiming in. Makes it more of a serious song. Not that I’m a Coldplay hater. Yay Coldplay!

  • I really like the Dry Your Eyes song by The Streets with Chris Martin too.

Not even a little bit of a coldplay fan, but CM is clearly talented.

  • Chris Martin from Coldplay and Nelly Furtado used to have a little thing for each other…i remember reading about it during that Area 1 concert Moby had setup before

Could be thats what the song is about

  • The song is actually based on a comment Nelly Furtado made when they were recording together. She asked why all good things come to and end, and then Chris Martin wrote that song. You can hear them talking about it at the end of the song. I recently read an article in Rolling Stone on their collaboration. It’s sweet, but ridiculous that EMI would pull it. Who cares?

  • I’m really sad that I missed the download of both this song and the Streets one. Anyone have these who’d be willing to send them to me?

    Andy Tatnall — August 5, 2006 @ 5:33 pm

  • Could you repost it? I’m sorry I missed it too… Chris Martin’s voice adds so much to an already beautiful song.

"I love the relationship that anyone has with music: because there's something in us that is beyond the reach of words, something that eludes and defies our best attempts to spit it out. It's the best part of us, probably, the richest and strangest part..."

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel."

Mp3s are for sampling purposes, kinda like when they give you the cheese cube at Costco, knowing that you'll often go home with having bought the whole 7 lb. spiced Brie log. They are left up for a limited time. If you LIKE the music, go and support these artists, buy their schwag, go to their concerts, purchase their CDs/records and tell all your friends. Rock on.
